Dear Laura,
It’s you from the future. I’m here to tell you it’s ok that you’re different. One day you will understand that difference.
You’re not weird because you don’t want to go home with guys even though all your friends are doing it. Losing your virginity isn’t as important as you think. You’re literally 15! Do you realise how young that actually is?
You’ll be surprised to know you don’t lose your virginity at all in your teen years. You would be so embarrassed to know you waited until you were 22. It’s actually not embarrassing at all.
More importantly, it was with a girl. Surprise, the reason you don’t wanna have sex with the guys around you is because you’re not at all sexually attracted to them. And also because you were not ready (you’re a child!!!). So stop beating yourself down for being the only virgin in the group.
Virginity is a constructed concept that in reality means f**k all. Once you turn 16 people stop caring who with and when you had sex.
You need to let go of that pressure and believe that everything will work out when the time is right. And you will enjoy sex. With your girlfriend.
Love,
Future homosexual Laura.
